The calculation
Income tax plus the part of the two tax credits you lose as you earn more.
- With the 8% holiday allowance on top (usually paid in May), you take home € 5.380 more a year.
- Without the ruling: € 5.409 a month (€ 1.447 less).
- The ruling needs a taxable salary of at least € 48.013 after the tax-free part (2026; a lower norm applies if you're under 30 with a Dutch-level master's degree).
- The tax-free part is capped at € 78.600 a year.
