Explain My Belastingdienst Letter

An assessment, a blue envelope, a request for information or a benefits decision: upload it and within half a minute you see what it says, what to do and by which date.

Your BSN, name, address and bank details are automatically blacked out on every page before an AI reads the letter (an automatic check, so cover anything very sensitive yourself if you can). Nothing is stored. Privacy policy

How it works

  1. Your BSN, name, address, phone number and bank account are automatically blacked out on every page. If that step fails, the letter is not sent.
  2. An AI reads the redacted letter and explains it: what kind of letter it is, the amounts, the dates and what to do.
  3. Our calculator checks the rest without AI: the six-week objection period, the payment date and, for an assessment with Box 3, the Box 3 tax with that year's official rules.
  4. Nothing is stored: the letter is only kept in memory while it is being explained.
