How your RSUs are taxed in the Netherlands, year by year: the Box 1 tax when shares vest (on top of your salary), the shares sold to cover it, and the Box 3 tax on the shares you keep.

The grant vests in 4 equal parts, one at the end of each year, and the share price changes by 5% a year. A vest is taxed as salary in Box 1: the tax is Box 1 on salary plus vest, minus Box 1 on the salary alone.
Estimate using this year's rates for every year, equal yearly vesting and no other income. Your employer withholds wage tax at vesting, often at a different rate; the difference is settled in your tax return. Stock options are taxed when you exercise them (or, since 2023, when the shares become tradable, if you choose). Box 3 uses the notional return; the actual-return method can be lower. Not tax advice: equity plans differ, so check yours with a tax adviser.
